The Tree of Life gives your colony's BSF females a better place to lay.
Black Soldier Fly females aren't random about where they oviposit. They're drawn to narrow corrugated channels — the kind that mimic the crevices where they'd naturally deposit a clutch. Most DIY setups use a piece of corrugated cardboard held with a rubber band. That works fine until it's soggy. Then you're scraping wet cardboard out of your bin and starting over.
The Tree of Life is a dedicated oviposition mount with 12 corrugated leaves extending from a central branch assembly. More surface means more egg-laying sites, which means more clutches per cycle. If you're running a colony and want more larvae out of it, this is where you start.
Constructed in PETG — it handles the heat and humidity of an active bin without warping. When it gets coated in the residue that builds up on oviposition sites, rinse it and put it back in. It won't fall apart on you.
Fits any standard bin or tote. Compatible with the BSFL Bin Kit. 3D printed to order in Aurora, Colorado.
Once those eggs hatch and the larvae fatten up, the Grub Escape self-harvesting ramp collects the prepupae for you at the other end of the cycle.
