Processing Time
Most of our products are made to order in our Aurora, Colorado workshop. Please allow 2–5 business days for order processing before shipment. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order ships.
Orders placed Friday through Sunday are processed the following Monday. We do not ship on federal holidays.
Shipping Carriers and Methods
We ship via USPS and UPS. Carrier selection depends on package size, weight, and destination. Available shipping options and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout.
Delivery Estimates
Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. Blue Grub Farms is not responsible for carrier delays. If your package has not arrived within a reasonable time after the estimated delivery date, please contact us and we'll help you track it down.
Domestic Shipping Only
We currently ship within the contiguous United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or internationally at this time.
Address Accuracy
Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order. Blue Grub Farms is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If you notice an error after ordering, contact us immediately at grubbear@bluegrubfarm.com — we can correct it if the order hasn't shipped yet.
Damaged Packages
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos of the damage. We'll arrange a replacement or refund promptly.
Live Organism Shipping (BSFL)
Orders containing live Black Soldier Fly Larvae require special handling:
- Shipping method: Live BSFL ship via Priority Mail (2–3 day) only. We do not ship live organisms via ground service due to transit time and temperature sensitivity.
- Shipping days: Live orders ship Monday through Wednesday only to avoid packages sitting in carrier facilities over weekends.
- Live arrival guarantee: We guarantee live arrival on all BSFL orders shipped within our recommended temperature window (55°F–95°F). If your larvae arrive dead on arrival (DOA), contact us within 24 hours with a photo and we'll reship or refund.
- Temperature extremes: We may hold live shipments during extreme heat or cold events to protect the animals. We'll notify you if this affects your order.
- State restrictions: It is your responsibility to confirm that receiving live insects is legal in your state before ordering. We are not responsible for packages seized or refused by state agricultural authorities.
Lost Packages
If your tracking shows "delivered" but you haven't received your package, first check with neighbors and any safe drop locations. Then contact your local carrier office. If the package is confirmed lost, contact us at grubbear@bluegrubfarm.com and we'll work with the carrier to resolve it.
